Holy shit, this should be illegal (under the ADA, if nothing else!)
This site detects if you open a second tab and STOPS YOU

I went back and opened it in a different browser, and it turns out the link I opened in a new tab OPENS A NEW WINDOW

what the fuck is wrong with the web designers of this fucking site?

I haven't made websites this anti-user and I have made sites that are hard to use ON PURPOSE

M.S. Bellows, Jr.

@foone Okay, I believe under EU regulations you're now required to tell us that story. Sorry, I don't make the rules.

@msbellows It was a proof of concept called "Rotterdam", and it was a mini-wiki that had no internal URLs. Navigation worked by forms POSTing to each other, and each link was securely encrypted (including with your IP) so you couldn't generate a URL for any subpage that you could link to anyone.

Hard mode: It used zero javascript

@foone I have degrees in English and law and I only understand 9% of those apparently English words

@foone @msbellows wow.
I knew you where quite capable in the whole computing nerd stuff and stuff, but that is seriously impressive.

@foone @msbellows heck, i may need this (as in, to steal the idea), i already have a frameset without a noframe but this may work better against crawlers
