Nate Allen<p>This is the last picture of my new <a href="https://pdx.social/tags/bike" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>bike</span></a> before I drive down to <a href="https://pdx.social/tags/Eugene" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Eugene</span></a> to pick it up next Thursday! <a href="https://pdx.social/tags/BikeFriday" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>BikeFriday</span></a> <a href="https://pdx.social/tags/BikeTooter" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>BikeTooter</span></a></p>
Nate Allen<p>Today's update on my <a href="https://pdx.social/tags/bike" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>bike</span></a> baby, she's painted and being aligned in prep for assembly it seems. The component made out of sheet is the motor mount for the <a href="https://pdx.social/tags/Bosch" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Bosch</span></a> inline drive. <a href="https://pdx.social/tags/BikeFriday" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>BikeFriday</span></a> <a href="https://pdx.social/tags/AllDay" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AllDay</span></a></p>
Nate Allen<p>If you ask politely, it seems that <a href="https://pdx.social/tags/BikeFriday" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>BikeFriday</span></a> will send you pictures of your new baby being born. I believe the two parts of the folding frame are in the picture below. <a href="https://pdx.social/tags/bike" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>bike</span></a> <a href="https://pdx.social/tags/biketooter" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>biketooter</span></a> <a href="https://pdx.social/tags/Eugene" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Eugene</span></a> <a href="https://pdx.social/tags/Oregon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Oregon</span></a></p>
pedestrian cyclist<p>PS: In case I need this information again some time (and find it here): It (Bike Friday Haul a Day with XT 1x11) needs a chain with 158 elements.</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/bikefriday" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>bikefriday</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/hauladay" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>hauladay</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/cargobike" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>cargobike</span></a></p>
😀🚲<p>What's it like climbing S Corbett with a mostly-charged battery and just me on <a href="https://urbanists.social/tags/BikeFriday" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>BikeFriday</span></a> <a href="https://urbanists.social/tags/tandem" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>tandem</span></a> <a href="https://urbanists.social/tags/eBikes" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>eBikes</span></a> project <a href="https://urbanists.social/tags/BikeTooter" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>BikeTooter</span></a>? The <a href="https://urbanists.social/tags/GrinMAC" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>GrinMAC</span></a> hub motor is a standard/slow wind in a 20in wheel (top speed ~22mph) and the battery is 52V 14.5Ah, load is probably ~1200W. I was in the middle ring of the 3x8 gearing.</p>
😀🚲<p>Hey chat, count the teeth on these chainrings (Update: sticky note says <a href="https://urbanists.social/tags/BikeFriday" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>BikeFriday</span></a> has 30, 40, 52 chainrings with 11-28 on the cassette.)</p>
NomisIV<p>I built this bike to be my dream bike, without any compromises. The goal I had in mind was that it would go anywhere anytime.</p><p><a href="https://c.im/tags/BikeTooter" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>BikeTooter</span></a> <a href="https://c.im/tags/BikesOfMastodon" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>BikesOfMastodon</span></a> <a href="https://c.im/tags/BikeFriday" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>BikeFriday</span></a> <a href="https://c.im/tags/locabikes" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>locabikes</span></a> <a href="https://c.im/tags/bikeadventure" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>bikeadventure</span></a></p>
NomisIV<p>This bike is a passion project of mine, and I built it myself because I couldn&#39;t find any other bike like it :)</p><p><a href="https://c.im/tags/BikeTooter" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>BikeTooter</span></a> <a href="https://c.im/tags/BikesOfMastodon" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>BikesOfMastodon</span></a> <a href="https://c.im/tags/BikeFriday" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>BikeFriday</span></a> <a href="https://c.im/tags/locabikes" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>locabikes</span></a></p>
