From bumper stickers to boycotts, how Tesla owners are distancing themselves from Elon Musk
Many Tesla owners who were once proud to own the electric vehicle are reportedly now embarrassed to be associated with the brand as public furor against the company and its CEO, billionaire Elon Musk, gains momentum.

It makes me feel somewhat better when I see all these boycotts, and realize that, with a few notable exceptions (amazon was a hard one) I don't really buy many of the products anyway, so my boycott is meaningless. I recently saw a #nestle #boycott and the wide expanse of brands they control and was happy to note that none of them are in my house or regular consumption routine. =)
To boycott as a means of political voice is powerful.
To be able to work outside the domain of the corporations being boycotted is a privilege I am grateful for and work hard to maintain.
#Musk: "I’ve never done anything harmful, I’ve only done productive things."
He's now constantly complaining about the #Tesla boycotts, and that's because his fortune is mostly in this #stock.
People are free to #boycott your products if you perform public sieg heils, defund #Ebola prevention and #AIDS research, complain about social welfare while getting 10s of billions in subsidies, actively interfere in foreign elections, and support anti-democratic actions of the #Trump administration.

but if the #eu hopefully!!!!! sees through on its punishment of Meta etc. because of data breaches, it'll turn up the heat again anyway. Whatever one does, it must be standing up to bullies, tyrants and dictators.
@thezenlady Fantastic essay! thanks for posting it
“as of the time of writing, Tesla is valued at $852.43 billion! That means its P/E ratio (a ratio of company value to its net income….) is a staggering 67.65!”
Toyota: [has] “a much more realistic value of $243.56 billion, giving them a P/E ratio of 8.40, which is close to the average for the automotive world.”
“The only reason Tesla is so stupidly valuable is because it is treated as a speculative meme stock.”
