Ur Ya'ar<p>Hubzilla is really intriguing. What I have in mind is having an independent web-being, without dependence on an instance to host your data, but with the ability to connect with others.</p><p>A main use case I think of is the ability to join multiple closed separate communities with your own identity, like closed/secret groups in Facebook, which are a feature I really miss in Mastodon. </p><p>Have you tried it? It will at least filter out potential spam from accounts who mass tag but are not actually group members.</p><p>Another feature is, if you want to share a post to the group, but you don't want it boosted, you can add a bang or exclamation mark, like so: !@group-name@example.com</p><p>Let's continue our community discussions over in the new group! Follow <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://fedigroups.social/@pilipinas" class="u-url mention">@<span>pilipinas</span></a></span> <br />2. To post, just tag the group.</p><p>There is a layer of protection in place though.<br />* You have to follow the group first before your post is boosted to the group members. This will at least filter out spams (they usually don't follow the group, they just tag).</p><p>FediGroups also have a feature to post to the group, but not boost it.
