Quick search said it happens when they get stressed, and we did have a heatwave (almost 90°F) days before plummeting 30°.</p><p>This time 3 decided it's a great time to flower, but no extreme temp changes. Schadenfreude<p>My <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/GreenOnion" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>GreenOnion</span></a> grew a little bud...</p><p>I'm not a gardener, but I've been growing green onions by planting the bottom few centimeters of store-bought. Been doing this for a few years and I've never had this happen.</p><p>I read they can "bolt" when stressed... Like drastic temperature changes. 2 weeks ago I was in a crop top.
