For them, its an executive branch of government, for me its the judicial one. Canon is explicit dialogue, the architecture of a building, etc. It's not implicit things like subtext or authorial intent.</p><p>For <a href="https://friendsofdesoto.social/tags/startrek" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>startrek</span></a>, what was Canon was whatever gets an in-universe article or section on <a href="https://friendsofdesoto.social/tags/MemoryAlpha" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MemoryAlpha</span></a>, which specifically excludes <a href="https://friendsofdesoto.social/tags/wordofgod" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>wordofgod</span></a>.</p>
