As more States attempt to enact mask bans & Trump continues to dismantle public health, it becomes increasingly clear that we’re on our own.

Masks should be mandatory in healthcare, yet you will often see more patients masking than healthcare workers.

When you can predict health outcomes based on postcodes, the issue is much more than individual choice.
Mothers and kids in the outer suburbs don't choose to be more obese than those in the inner suburbs. Obesigenic environments drive health inequities.

I do appreciate the research that helps equip people with info on how we can improve our quality of life, other factors notwithstanding, but I really wish there were a lot more articles published on the adverse health effects of capitalism. "Want better sleep? Healthier digestion? Improved longevity? Good mental health? Lower risks of cancer, heart disease, diabetes, and other adverse health outcomes? Scientists have learned that less wage labor and not having corporations control every aspect of your life is the answer you've been looking for!"

Like, fine, eat a plant-based diet and practice yoga and stuff, but for every article published about that, there should be three about how what's really killing you is capitalism.

"...43% of White citizens who were age eligible to vote in all three elections did so; just 24% did not vote in any of these.

Black, Hispanic and Asian adults lagged far behind, with 27% of Black, 19% of Hispanic and 21% of Asian age-eligible citizens voting in all three elections. Hispanic citizens were most likely to have not voted in any of the most recent three general elections."

"Her death might have been a warning to an increasingly vaccine-hesitant country about the consequences of shunning the only guaranteed way to fight the preventable disease.

Instead, the anti-vaccine movement is broadcasting a different lesson, turning the girl and her family into propaganda, an emotional plank in the misguided argument that vaccines are more dangerous than the illnesses they prevent."
