uvok<p>I'm fucking confused as to how I broke my <a href="https://furry.engineer/tags/PuppyLinux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>PuppyLinux</span></a> installation.</p><p>Regular boot - X starts, UI shows, but then "hangs". If I switch to tty1 and back to tty3, the UI is "blank", only background and taskbar shows, no reaction to clicks.</p><p>I managed to run startx -display :0 -- :0 vt3 from tty1 after I Ctrl-C'ed the X server. From the terminal appearing, I could run sh .xinitrc. And now the UI works.</p><p>Uhm????? What?<br>And why didn't startx run .xinitrc ?</p>
