I used to spring for the more expensive Superior Gold smoked salmon, and I'd eat a couple of slivers most days. Then <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Tassal" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Tassal</span></a> smeared their branding all over it, perhaps hoping it would elevate Tassal.</p><p>Nope, just destroyed what had looked like an independent higher quality product.</p><p>So now, like a lot of people, I dont eat <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Tasmanian" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Tasmanian</span></a> Salmon.</p><p>Trying to find a smoked salmon that is ethically produced, and heavily smoked so its not gelatinous.</p>

Like exactly what they’re fed and the causes for the die-offs. And also what are the chemicals, growth hormones and anti-bacterial agents present in the processed product we buy in shops.</p><p>I’m no longer eating the stuff.</p>
