Vivian<p>I finished <a href="https://c.im/tags/TheVampireLestat" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>TheVampireLestat</span></a> and moved to <a href="https://c.im/tags/Outline" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Outline</span></a> by <a href="https://c.im/tags/RachelCusk" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>RachelCusk</span></a> . Both books have Greece as a setting. Both depend on characters telling the narrator stories about themselves. Cusk is writing <a href="https://c.im/tags/metafiction" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>metafiction</span></a> though. Both books do however focus on the nature of love and the ways love serve as the centrality of identity. <a href="https://c.im/tags/Rice" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Rice</span></a> book reminds me on this second reading of <a href="https://c.im/tags/TheMagus" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>TheMagus</span></a> : an elite with its administrative centre in Greece that has located for itself a prehistoric origin tied into old religious forms. <a href="https://c.im/tags/bookstodon" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>bookstodon</span></a></p>
