Il Simone ViaggiatoreCabo Trafalgar, Andalusia. Qui vicino, in passato si tenne una battaglia navale molto importante, quella tra la flotta spagnola e la flotta inglese. La seconda non riportò neppure una perdita, mentre la prima subì la disfatta. Per questo motivo ancora oggi esiste a Londra "Trafalgar Square", piazza che commemora quell'evento. Ma questa bella spiaggia con il suo faro e l'oceano colori verde smeraldo non sanno più nulla dei litigi di noi umani, e offrono a chiunque dei bei momenti passati a passeggiare, nuotare, fare surf. Una raccomandazione: lì intorno non ci sono molti paesi e su booking si trovano sistemazioni un po' ingannevoli: spesso si tratta di container a uso abitativo, casette prefabbricate di basso livello ma affittate a prezzi alti. Inoltre, non ci sono Paesi veri e propri ma aggregati di case che hanno attorno strade fangose e senza asfalto, dove circolare in automobile può diventare un problema in caso di pioggia. Il Simone ViaggiatoreTarifa, Andalusìa (Spagna). Un interessante avvistamento della specie nota come "Homo kitesurficus". Questa è una specie che ha sviluppato sorprendenti abilità di volo grazie a strane ali colorate. In questa spettacolare migrazione quotidiana, i Kitesurficus sfidano le leggi della gravità, librandosi sopra le onde con eleganza e una spensieratezza che solo chi ha dimenticato la forza di gravità può permettersi. Si noti il loro comportamento sociale: urlano di gioia, sventolano le braccia e, occasionalmente, atterrano con grazia discutibile. Anche se non sono noti per migrare, questi esemplari sono stati avvistati in luoghi lontani e diversi, dimostrando la loro capacità di adattarsi a vari habitat marini. Mi sono accorto che dietro di me avevo tutta la Spagna, tutto un continente, e davanti a me c'era solo uno stretto braccio di mare a separarmi dal Marocco, che con le sue montagne (che nel passato erano chiamate "Le colonne d'Ercole, insieme a Gibilterra) esercitava un fascino magnetico, che mi attirava a sé. Purtroppo non mi è stato possibile mettere piede in quel vastissimo continente, per questa volta, ma mi sono dovuto "accontentare" di immortalare Tarifa con la sua bella spiaggia atlantica, enorme, e le tante persone che praticavano Kite Surf.
