A February Afternoon in the Great Swamp Wildlife Refuge
I put these up on Mastodon earlier today.
I’ve only had time to make some quick edits since getting back to the city. I think these winter images work well in black and white, or at least that things are moving in the right direction. Still, there’s work to do, on these four photographs and others I took today.
I grew up about ten minutes from this place. Today was the first time I’d visited since — I don’t know when, probably the 1970s. Whatever associations I have with The Great Swamp from that time are now long gone. These are first impressions.
