"NM is implementing a Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) in the East Mountains area at 1:00pm today, March 6, unless weather and fire risk conditions improve. @partim I was in #Alert as a researcher in 2006 in collaboration with #EnvironmentCanada. Logistics by the Canadian Forces. While I was there a few researchers arrived via charter (most likely Kenn Borek Air like @NunavutBirder said) out of #Resolute, which has regular jet service. All had ongoing projects and necessary permits & security clearances. A more “civilian” place could be #Eureka, about 450 km south. Still research only, but I presume less access controlled.
