A fresco was discovered in 2018 and is just being reported about now. The wall art depicts Queen Leda, the Greek mythical Queen of Sparta and a swan. the image was a popular theme for Romans. But this image is particularly fine as it appears the Leda is looking directly at any person who entered the room. It is likely that the wealthy owner of the home was showing off his cultural knowledge.

An amateur archaeologist managed to persuade professional archaeologists to examine a large standing stone near Matlock in the county of Derbyshire. What they discovered was that his theory of the stone being a part of a larger circle was correct. The site of the stone is more than 3700 years old. The stone had been deliberately placed over a natural spring.
