moki“Nothing is original” <a class="u-url mention" href="https://pixelfed.social/jim.jarmusch" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@jim.jarmusch</a><br> last weekend i found a photograph of the treehouse i painted for MÄANDER (published by <a class="u-url mention" href="https://pixelfed.social/hatjecantzverlag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@hatjecantzverlag</a>) in the <a class="u-url mention" href="https://pixelfed.social/cabinporn" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@cabinporn</a> book<br> it’s taken from a different angle but you can clearly recognize it. i would like to underline that i am sitting on the shoulders of giants: my paintings are often reworks of the existing works by other artists, like this example shows. i collect, recompose, collage and through recombination and putting the sujets in a new context, awake new associations and create something else.<br> “The modern illusion concerning painting (which postmodernism has done nothing to correct) is that the artist is a creator.
