Brad Linder
The Framework Laptop 12 goes up for pre-order on April 9th. Framework's first laptop with a convertible tablet-style design, touchscreen, and stylus support will be positioned as an entry-level laptop, but pricing hasn't been revealed yet. #FrameworkLaptop12 #FrameworkLaptop https://frame.work/blog/framework-laptop-12-pre-orders-open-next-week

Trevor
I am planning on streaming the mainboard replacement for my #FrameworkLaptop, but to do so I'll need a computer at the table where I'm going to do the work - can't do it at the desktop, the desk is (rightly) organized around my wife's work stuff. So - welcome back, cursed computer! Carcajou tabernak

The memory was about $200 (USD) and it arrived from a local, third party reseller in one day.

I will not run AI models, so the 5600M memory is sufficient for me. The fact that this was an upgrade from 8GB is what counts.

Here comes all the VM memory I ever needed :)

Mark Stosberg
Honest review for those considering buying a used #Framework laptop:

I don't recommend the original with the Intel 11th gen processor. There's been a battery drain problem, which seems possibly related to their swappable ports design. This lead to lower battery-life on a daily basis and a battery that eventually died what I would consider prematurely.

Now I have a daily problem with the USB ports dying until I reboot. Looks like I may need a new motherboard after 3.5 yrs.

#FrameworkLaptop
