Which is a little annoying. Some back of the napkin maths suggests you end up paying around £44 extra than <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/GiffGaff" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>GiffGaff</span></a> for the same period... ish.</p>
Harry W.<p>Lets dive into <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/Voxi" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Voxi</span></a>, a similar cheap network like <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/GiffGaff" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>GiffGaff</span></a>, that uses the <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/Vodafone" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Vodafone</span></a> network. </p><p>&gt; £43.75 PCM, unlimited minutes and texts, 45GB of data (winter sale only) - monthly rolling contract, 24 months paying off the phone, as you buy the phone separately through PayPal Finance. </p><p>Ok, more expensive than <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/GiffGaff" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>GiffGaff</span></a>, but you do get more data and certain apps like WhatsApp are just free. </p><p>However, I couldn't find any info about EU roaming. So... I guess that's not included?</p>

But they're incredibly loud about the mid contract rises (wonder why that is)</p><p>&gt; Will rise to £52.85 in April this year, and then £54.65 in April 2026</p><p>So by the end of the 25 months, you're paying £17 more than <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/GiffGaff" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>GiffGaff</span></a> for the same network</p>

And has EU roaming up to 5GB of data. Nice.</p><p>So that's what, £17 cheaper than <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/EE" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>EE</span></a>? </p><p><a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/Phones" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Phones</span></a></p>

But i didn't realise just *how much cheaper* they are compared to the standard highstreet brands!</p><p>£20 cheaper than <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/EE" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>EE</span></a> or <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/O2" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>O2</span></a> for the same Phone and a better deal. No VoWIFI/WiFi Calling on O2 Pay and Go either.
