Neptune-tan is often depicted as a strong and fierce character, sometimes shown wielding large weapons and surrounded by friends like Windows 97, Odyssey, Moseko, and various designs of Longhorn.</p><p>She wears a black, sleeveless qipao with blue accents and red bracelets, a red talisman is on her collar and she has mechanical headpieces that give her a slightly futuristic vibe. The Mainframe<p>A new day and a new update, heh. This update was actually worth it because besides minor fixes to Valsun and Threshold’s pages, a page for my Mac OS 8/9 character has been published. Sinclair-Speccy<p>Hello <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/Fediverse" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Fediverse</span></a>, here's your "daily" OS-tan art and the first of my reworked daily OS-tan posts!<br> <br>This one is of Windows Me-tan!</p><p>Also known as Emui, Me-tan is the original OS-tan from the Futaba Channel, depicting Windows Millennium Edition. With her green pigtails and clumsy demeanor, she has become one of the most beloved OS-tans.</p><p>Back in 2003, the anthropomorphic character craze was at its peak in Japan and the anonymous bulletin board community was heavily influenced by this trend.
