Wishfully looking at greenhouse kits and I've actually come across a few that cost much more than my first house. Of course, my first house cost $25,900, but a greenhouse sure shouldn't be more than that!

This afternoon I have sown 2 types of Tomato (Ailsa Craig and Limonita F1), Chilli Pepper (Quick Fire F1), and Spring Onions (Totem).
I've put the tomatoes and chillies in the heated propagator. The onions can take their chance in the #greenhouse but I've put an upturned clear plastic tray over them to trap a little more warmth during the day.
I put a stool in the greenhouse and I could quite happily sit in there doing nowt all afternoon!

If you squint and look closely just above center, you can see the lavender doing its thing.
ETA: The packaging for this kit says it will germinate in 4 to 6 weeks. I started this a week ago.
Lufa Farms has the right idea - building rooftop greenhouses for fresh veggies above hyperstores/supercenters. They currently serve #Quebec and #Ottawa

(rooftop solar panels: also a good idea)
The existing seedlings from a few weeks ago are sprouting and growing strong in the small green house. The broad beans are already quite tall.
We have added some more seeds into pots. This time we have planted corns, Kohlrabi, onions and cucumbers.
Additionally we have added more garlic as they were sprouting in our kitchen. Hope it’s not too late for those ones

Cut and stood up some of thee siding so see what it will look like. I'm not 100% happy with how tall the 18" is; considering if I want to get some 18x48" pieces of glass to use along the front there instead.
On the other hand, the siding does seem a lot more reasonable if I add raised beds in the greenhouse, which I've been leaning towards doing; if I raise beds up 18" over ground level, then the siding is only a few inches taller than the soil (once you include the wall), which makes it just about perfect, and would leave the ground between beds shaded more to stay cool in the summer.
Hm. Probably will just use the siding and same the few hundred dollars + additional effort of ordering and using glass. Thoughts welcome; have you gardened in a greenhouse / raised bed?
