Beth<p>As we approached the loch the sun came out for a wee bit, but it didn't last. We'd be back in our waterproofs as we left after our lunch. James & SjirikiWhen your baba climbs a wooden tractor so you have to loudly yell until they help you up too 😂<br>
We’ve been dealing with some major teenage brain lately. It’s been very hard to find the motivation to train as everything feels hard, and just helping him exist in the world is like a full time job right now. Sjiriki is also not feeling great, which doesn’t help either. He’s got some pretty bad growing pains, which are (understandably) making him cranky and easily frustrated, plus he still has the occasional Giardia flare up (though those are thankfully getting less and less intense with each treatment). We’re trying to mostly focus on doing fun low pressure things, and I’m doing training together with my mom to both keep Sjiriki more motivated (he has some major FOMO so if Maya is doing something he wants to also do that thing 😆), and to keep myself from spiraling at the smallest setback. So we’re surviving! But I am already very much ready for this whole teenage phase to be over 😅<br>

Tim Hall<p>Day out with Moray to Sgùrr an Utha, just north of the main road to Mallaig.<br>Started off in nice sunshine, but rapidly clouded over. The cloud base was around 800m, so we just escaped, but most of the surrounding hills were in cloud. Tim Hall<p>Meallan nan Uan & Sgùrr a’Mhuilinn from Strath Conon.</p><p>An pre-birthday outing for Moray yesterday, summer conditions, a fairly short route picking up 2 Corbetts above Strath Conon. Although apart from the two summit ridges themselves, most of the walking was tedious terrain – boggy tussocky grass and heather – so it made for a longer day than expected. James & SjirikiWe adventured somewhere new this week! I’m trying to go somewhere to explore weekly, but other than these trips we’ve not been doing too much. We are slowly starting to pick up training again, but I’m dealing with burn out so I’m not able to do too much at the moment. Very thankful for my family who’s been helping me with daily tasks so I can focus on taking care of Sjiriki and myself ❤️<br>

Tim Hall<p>Ben Rinnes is a distinctively shaped hill, always in the view from the Northern Cairngorms, & has always been on my to-do list. Today we did it.</p><p>Lovely bright sunshine, but the wind was baltic, and from the south so we had no shelter from it at all, apart from behind the summit rocks. Tim Hall<p>Moray got an emergency rescue harness for Christmas, so we've been practising using it.<br>First, I got used to the harness with Big Bear in it (a teddy bear bigger than Moray). Moray not sure what's going on here haha.<br>Then I've got him into it and lifted it up onto my back. He was much more relaxed than I'd expected, tho' obviously an injured dog would not be so placid.
