The last in the reflection section for this stroll. I've actually shot this mosque before on various occasions in the past years. I remember on one occasion there used to be some nice flowers dangling out of its fence (can't recall what were they but probably bougainvillea). Here, I cropped the image a whole lot and focused on the minaret reflection off the pond, then rotated the whole image (thus the ground or soil is actually up).<br>

Fun fact: Do you know that "minaret" is a misnomer, coming from the Arabic word "Manárah" (منارة) which actually means "lighthouse" and has nothing to do with mosques!<br>

JomesCairo is a city you cannot be prepared for when you come from a Western country and never been to a metropole from an Eastern country. I was overwhelmed for the whole two days I was there. Compared to Cairo, London is an idyllic country side village. The noises, smells and traffic are simply off the chart. Wow. <br>
