Mark<p>Right now, the Sandhill Cranes are moving back to fields adjacent to the Platte River. At and just after sunset, they'll fly from those fields into the Platte to overnight. I watched them last Monday & Tuesday evening, and it was mighty impressive. We're past peak, but you can still see and hear flocks fly in the distance. It should get better around 8pm CDT. I'll post some of my own vids from last week soon. In particular this bill would correct a punitive measure stemming from the war on drugs of the 1990s that prohibits persons convicted of drug related offenses who had served their sentences or are currently on parole from receiving SNAP benefits. We met with 18 of our senators to urge them to support this bill and stop punishing families, especially children, for mistakes made by a single member of the family. This bill will not add to Nebraska’s budget, as SNAP is federally funded.
