Kris🥹 ecstatic about this one. Ruffle tiered dress, self-drafted, fits just how i wanted. By the bottom tier i was working with an almost 4m long strip of flimsy fabric, but it was so worth it for the massive swoosh effect of the skirt. It feels so good to finally be more comfortable with sewing. Eleanore Duncan<p>I've been saying for years that I'm a rubbish <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/sewist" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>sewist</span></a> but I recently joined a Morris side either my other half and the look involves wearing fancy tailored jackets made of curtain or upholstry fabric so needs must! Our two jackets are truly the first garments I've ever made (pictured is mine) . I just took it steady, followed instructions, and took apart a cheap charity shop tailored jacket to see how it is done by the professionals. The main challenge was pattern matching the pieces.</p>

BridgeMakes ⚪ taking a break<p>I didn't want to do a project that required me to move much today so I opted to set the complicated dress aside and do the much simpler, yet related, project of making medieval hoes.
