My decision to post this was based in large part on it including one of my own all-time favorite recordings, the debut eponymous album by The Cars. “Rocket ‘88’” by Jackie Brenston and His Delta Cats was not only one of the key records in rock &#39;n&#39; roll history but it was also the introduction for most of us to Ike Turner. The Library of Congress can&#39;t do everything at once; but it is still surprising that &quot;Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer&quot; by Gene Autry wasn&#39;t already in the registry. Then there&#39;s &quot;Pieces of Africa&quot; by the Kronos Quartet.
