Better late then never... I joined the local urban sketchers group in Nurenberg in March and had lots of fun sketching on the go.

It's never enough, right? I made a little post about my urban sketching experience a few weeks ago and my setup too.
The key is a palette without yellow, that can mix one though... kind of.

This is a local Weatherspoon where I started sketching daily from live back in 2023. I was hesitant to get the sketchbook on the table but it was always quiet in the morning and I slowly grew in confidence. Nice to be back
It's always exciting when I start a new #sketchbook.
The last one - Volume 16 - lasted 20 months which is slightly longer than average.
All my sketchbooks are in the same 148 X 130mm format, they are Daler- Rowney Ebony books which have 150g/m2 acid free paper.
Volume 16 (just finished) started in Glenfield, Leicestershire, England and went with me via Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Grand Cayman, Jamaica, Cuba & Mexico as well as the English counties of Kent, Norfolk, Sussex, Northamptonshire & Lincolnshire back to the last scribble in the book within 500 metres of the first in the book.
I can't boast of any great skill, but it's something I enjoy doing and the books help me to remember our past, and our holidays to distant places.
I would love my grandchildren (and their children) to discover the world through them.
I can't imagine where the next book will accompany me to!
