In short:<br>Private schools aren’t about getting better schooling, they’re about making sure that your offspring mixes with the kids you want them to. <br>The rise put pressure on the less well funded private schools, some of which have closed, and the kids were (mainly) sent to the richer ones. <br>Congratulations. You got some tax and increased the cachet of private schooling</p>
