Double jeopardy may be coming our way.</p><p>Staff at a terrific radio station, WRSI with studios in Northampton, Massachusetts, picked Dan Hicks as their favorite act several years in a row. So, while I have heard them a lot on WRSI and elsewhere, this is the first time I have actually seen Dan Hicks and the Hot Licks. My personal favorites are Rachel Maddow, Ari Melber, Joy Reid, and Alex Wagner. Rachel is actually one of our locals, having hosted a mostly music program, the &quot;Big Breakfast,&quot; on WRSI with studios in Northamptom, Massachusetts. A lot of us around these parts love Rachel to pieces. MSNBC staff do terrifically less opinion-based reporting than FOX &quot;News&quot; - not that it would be very hard - and hosts such as Ari Melber often take a wonderfully evenhanded approach. The highly engaging Alex Wagner is a network star. Joy Reid is one who I, personally, would like to see run for president, though it would be easy to imagine her declining the honor right away. Ayman Mohyeldin, another favorite, switches over from NBC to MSNBC weekends.</p><p>If you have never watched MSNBC or have drifted away, I strongly suggest giving the current show and host lineup a try. MSNBC is gaining. The other news networks aren&#39;t. What is the old proverb?
