In 1859 the ”Pig War” began between the United States and the United Kingdom over the British–U.S. border in the San Juan Islands (now part of the US / Canadian border) and lasted until 1872. It now looks like there will be “Second Pig War” between the US and Canada, though this time the offending pig isn’t livestock.
