Masking, hand washing, social distancing. Air filtration. Stay home if sick.
H5N1: Don’t handle dead birds, wild bird waste. Wash hands after dealing with live ones. If raise poultry, use USDA protocols for protecting birds and people. Keep cats indoors (very susceptible/high fatality rate).

The hardest thing for me personally is to stop touching my face if I’ve been out and haven’t washed/ sanitized my hands. Don’t rub nose, eyes. I so want to.
Someone pointed out if you live near where geese (or pigeons?) congregate and poo, and walk through it, don’t wear those shoes in your house. May take a behavior change to start removing shoes at your door switching to inside shoes.
