Furthermore, the paper “It's a Match - Enhancing the Fit between Users and <a href="https://xn--baw-joa.social/tags/Phishing" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Phishing</a> Training through <a href="https://xn--baw-joa.social/tags/Personalisation" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Personalisation</a>” by Lorin Schöni, Neele Roch, Hannah Sievers, Martin Strohmeier, Peter Mayer, and Verena Zimmermann, as well as the Late Breaking Work “It's like an explosion”: <a href="https://xn--baw-joa.social/tags/Cyberwarfare" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Cyberwarfare</a> harms for civilian population in Ukraine during the Russian invasion” by Oksana Kulyk, Jari Kickbusch, and Peter Mayer were accepted. CHI 2025 will take place in Yokohama, Japan, from April 26 to May 1st, 2025. SECUSO ResearchProf. Melanie Volkamer war in der Deutschlandfunk Kultur-Sendung "Breitband" zu hören. Am 1. März wurde die Sendung zum Thema digitale Wahlen gesendet. Anlässlich der vielen verspäteten Briefwahlunterlagen für Wahlberechtigte im Ausland bei der <a href="https://xn--baw-joa.social/tags/Bundestagswahl" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Bundestagswahl</a> ging es auch um die Machbarkeit von elektronischen Wahlen. Prof. Volkamer beschreibt, wie Ende-zu-Ende-verifizierbare Wahlsysteme es den Wählenden ermöglichen, die eigene Stimme bis zur Auszählung nachzuverfolgen. Für die Wählenden sind solche Verfahren allerdings komplex und mit vielen Schritten verbunden. Gelobt wurden vor allem die Spiele, da sie frei von Werbung und Nutzer:innentracking sind. Die von SECUSO entwickelten Privacy Friendly Apps fordern nur die für die Funktionalität erforderlichen Berechtigungen an und enthalten keine <a href="https://xn--baw-joa.social/tags/Tracking" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Tracking</a>-Mechanismen, so dass keinerlei (Nutzungs-) Daten gesammelt werden. Alle Applikationen der Privacy Friendly Apps-Gruppe können daher ohne Bedenken hinsichtlich <a href="https://xn--baw-joa.social/tags/Privatsph%C3%A4re" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Privatsphäre</a>-Verletzungen installiert werden. Die Privacy Friendly Apps sind nur für Android-Geräte verfügbar und können im Google Play Store oder über den F-Droid Store heruntergeladen werden. SECUSO ResearchThe proceedings of the 9th International Joint Conference on Electronic Voting (E-Vote-ID 2024) are now available online in the Digital Library of the German Informatics Society under the title “LNI-Band P359 - E-Vote-ID 2024”. A total of 16 contributions are included, two of which SECUSO was involved in. The aim of E-Vote-ID is to bring together e-voting specialists from academia, politics and industry to discuss various aspects of different forms of electronic voting. E-Vote-ID 2025 will take place this year from October 1 to 3 in Nancy, France. SECUSO ResearchIm Sommersemester 2025 findet das Teamprojekt "Wirtschaft und Technologie" statt. Im Rahmen der praxisorientierten Veranstaltung bearbeiten die Studierenden innerhalb eines Semesters eine interdisziplinäre Fragestellung an der Schnittstelle zwischen Wirtschaftswissenschaft und MINT-Fächern. In Teams von 4-6 Personen erarbeiten die Studierenden gemeinsam ein Artefakt, das sie am Ende in einem gemeinsamen Abschlussevent präsentieren. Auch <a href="https://xn--baw-joa.social/tags/SECUSO" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#SECUSO</a> bietet ein Teamprojekt an, bei dem Studierende eine interaktive Website gestalten und evaluieren. Je nach Projekt können die Studierenden das Teamprojekt (9 ECTS) entweder im BWL/ING-Vertiefungsmodul oder im Wahlpflichtmodul anrechnen lassen. Die Anmeldung ist noch bis 16.03.2025 möglich. SECUSO ResearchDer Aufsatz "Manuelles Löschen von Phishing-Nachrichten aus Mitarbeiterpostfächern: Rechtliche und technische Grenzen" von Julian Hunter, Fabian Ballreich, Kai Julian Kemmler und Melanie Volkamer wurde zur Veröffentlichung in der Zeitschrift <a href="https://xn--baw-joa.social/tags/Digitalisierung" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Digitalisierung</a> und Recht (ZfDR) aktzeptiert. Zur effektiven Bekämpfung von <a href="https://xn--baw-joa.social/tags/Phishing" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Phishing</a> in Organisationen ist es zweckmäßig, dass Phishing-Mails zentralisiert durch IT-Mitarbeitende gelöscht werden können. Die Autor:innen untersuchen die technischen und rechtlichen Herausforderungen bei der Bekämpfung von Phishing und arbeiten heraus, unter welchen Voraussetzungen eine manuelle und zentralisierte Löschung von Phishing-E-Mails aus Mitarbeiterpostfächern zulässig ist. SECUSO ResearchWir begrüßen Leoni Schmidt-Enke als neue Mitarbeiterin im#SECUSO-Team! Leoni hat kürzlich ihren Master-Abschluss im Studiengang <a href="https://xn--baw-joa.social/tags/Wissenschaft" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Wissenschaft</a>-Medien-Kommunikation am <a href="https://mastodon.social/@KIT_Karlsruhe" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@KIT_Karlsruhe</a> erworben. In ihrer Masterarbeit untersuchte sie, wie sich Diskursteilnehmer:innen auf Wissenschaft beziehen, wenn sie über Inter- und Transgeschlechtlichkeit sprechen. Davor erwarb sie einen Bachelor-Abschluss in Allgemeiner Rhetorik und Internationalen Literaturen an der Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen. Seit dem 01.01.2025 ist sie nun Teil des SECUSO-Teams und ist für Projektkoordination und Marketing eines neuen Bürgerpanels zuständig.
