I wrote a story where the narrator contacts the city to complain. She uses the city’s website. A couple of reviewers wondered why she didn’t phone, instead. The story is based loosely upon a true story where I had a problem with the city and contacted them online. I didn’t even consider calling them up, because I don’t phone anyone when I can instead send a message. Maybe it comes from having worked at a call centre, but I loathe using the phone.
