I wonder if could viably be used as hashtags to generate some sort of geographically feed.

The first six characters of a plus code denote an area of roughly 5x5 km², so if I take a full plus code like "9F4MG98H+G3", and then create a hashtag using the first six characters, like , adding that hashtags to posts would allow others to find activity in a certain region.

plus.codesPlus codesPlus codes are short codes for locations, for places that don't have their own street address.

I found a post earlier today, suggesting basically the same thing, with one interesting difference.

@lapingvino suggests to prefix the code characters with "geo", for hashtags like - which is nice because it hints at the hashtag being some sort of location reference even for users not yet aware of this idea.

Just to brainstorm a bit, possible alternatives could be:
(underscore for readability)
("local" to highlight the local nature)
(short!)
