I really hope this ceasefire holds. I don't trust Netanyahu as far as I could throw him. I worry agreeing to this is just a means of getting the hostages back, after which he'll just return to burning Gaza to the ground, secure in the knowledge the new POTUS will be like "Yeah, whatever, do what you like."
I also hope those who've committed war crimes and acts of terrorism are swiftly brought to justice, regardless of which side they were on. Desperation does not justify October 7th. Defence does not justify Israel's response.
I recognise this is likely a vain hope.
