Bad news: work VPN is dropping its connection every 30–120 seconds on MacOS, making it impossible to get work done.

Worse news: I have no understanding of how to diagnose this problem.

Worser news: the amount of junk tech support sites makes it exceedingly difficult to search the web for troubleshooting steps.
