@sbb@c.imI have a #Mastodon feature request. Could there please be a specialized emoji for the #XMPP logo? To put it beside one's name? It can draw attention to an XMPP "Chat ID" that one has put in one's Mastodon profile. Similarly, it would make sense to also have emojis for the #Deltachat logo, #Matrix logo, etc. Basically, every other #OpenSource federated network (#Pixelfed? #Peertube?) would likewise deserve an emoji.
This is so that Mastodonians can draw attention to the accounts they have on other #Fediverse servers. It's a visual cue, right by their names, inviting others to tap/click their avatars/names, and have a look at their profile, where further contact info could be presented. It would encourage people to use Federated services more, then display their involvement to others.
@menel That's cool, but I can't use it in my Mastodon profile's "Display name", nor in the profile "Extra fields".
is a standard emoji, not a custom one, btw.
Yeah, this is a special "per instance" feature currently. So the admins has to add it.
Would be great if it was in the default set, I agree.

But it doesn't work with my current main profile with #snac but I love that I can add custom emojis there at all.
@sbb there is a custom emoji feature, ask your admin to add them.
@sbb@c.im I'm pretty sure you can already do this by uploading a custom emoji to your instance and then using that emoji in your name. 
I see people doing this on the global timeline constantly.
