i just want to tell the world that the indonesian police are one of the institutions that violate human rights by blocking and not allowing ambulances to pass the road they are guarding because of civil society demonstrations about the revision of the indonesian national army law.

I live 4 blocks from a police academy and they regularly terrorize my neighborhood by marching and yelling hoo-rah chants like some military force. They are loud and also seem to have orders to yell directly at every person they pass: "GOOD MORNING SIR!" (or ma'am).

It never feels kind and always feels intimidating.
