Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU)TMCIS Lunch & Learn - Cities of Migration: Navigating Migration Challenges Across Canada’s Varied Urban Landscapes

In 2015 the list of CPC candiataes looked like an old white-boys club, not too much diversity.
The "DEI" candidates were in ridings that usually no right-winger could win.

In 2025 there does not seem to be much more diversity added.
It still looks very MAGA-like.

In 2025 the GPC, LPC and NDP seem to have more female candiates and more diversity in general, something that more closely represents Canadian society.

Is it just me or has anyone else noticed something similar?

If the Libs, greens and NDPers in that riding got together and could agree on a single candidate to support then the Con would have no chance of winning.

Have a rally, get LPC, GPC & NDP candidates to give speeches and then let the people vote which one is going to beat the Con and then everyone goes out and votes for that candidate.

Call it a primary day if you want.

For anyone with short memories:
support for the NDP has been through ups and downs over the past 50 years just like other parties.
PC down to 2 seats in 1993.
LPC almost wiped out in 2011.
PMSH turfed in 2015.

Right now fear of 47 and PP is driving voters towards the LPC.
No politician could stop this trend.

People will work hard to rebuild the NDP after this election and the NDP will remain a viable party in the future.

So if the Liberals return to majority status, will that finally end the alliance of the right? Can we go back to the PCs and Reform and give the NDP some hope again? Losing 4 elections in a row, the 4th being a majority, that has got to get things moving...

Is Rachel running federally?!? I have seen very little news of the federal election and what's going on in #YEG. I'm expecting that our NDP incumbent will be returning and I'll happily help that to happen.
And I'm greatly enjoying the FREE dental work that I'm getting as a senior, thanks to Jagmeet and crew!

If these numbers are accurate this is crazy. Air travel bookings to the US down 70%+ from Canada.

I suspect Air Canada's gonna need some financial assistance again, but it's truly reflective of how how pissed off Canadians are. Losing a million through march is crazy.

If democracy survives, every jurisdiction from the skinniest little village to the entire nation must have enshrined in its founding documents the ability for a plurality to end the mandate of any elected or appointed public official immediately, and force them to renew their mandate, since we've clearly passed the point where these assholes think there are any limits to the BS they can pull.
