To celebrate World Poetry Day, #Transport for #London (TfL) is showcasing winning #poems from West London College's 'Student with Voices' competition at seven stations on the District line. The competition involved 40 schools across #Ealing and #Hammersmith and #Fulham, with over 130 students submitting poems on themes like wellbeing, mental health, and the arts. Poems were judged by published #poets Kavita Hansla and Alex Murdock. #TfL has long supported public arts, with the 'Poems on the Underground' initiative inspiring commuters for nearly 40 years. This celebration follows recent St. Patrick’s Day #poetry recordings at Charing Cross and Covent Garden. TfL hopes the 'Student with Voices' collaboration will inspire future poets for the iconic poetry series. Excerpts from the winning poems will be displayed at stations including Acton Town, Ealing Broadway, and Hammersmith.
