I got some of the shopping centre names wrong as I rarely go into South #Essex and have not been to #Basildon since 1990 (and was ejected from the Eastgate shopping centre by security for wearing a hoodie and hanging around with local youths I'd befriended) - but I seem to spend a fair bit of time in the area recently (including long drives along the #A12 as its the only route out of this part of #EastAnglia to SE England)

This the Millennium Garden at Pensthorpe Country Park in Norfolk, designed by Piet Oudolf. I love the great sweeps of colour in the planting and spent many happy hours here when we lived in Norfolk.

LB: There's a perfect storm in the region - many minor crimes are down due to increased security / private CCTV (although there's a rise in petty thefts due to #inequality), a lack of officers and other #crime #prevention schemes to stop especially younger folk going down bad paths, but a rise in #violence , #sexualoffences and #DomesticViolence and those are the sort of cases that lead to suspects going on #remand and ending up in Crown #Court #EastAnglia

It wasn’t helped by the fact that my grandparents had a large black dog that liked me, so would follow me around silently from room to room when I went to visit them, to be fair.
