And the last one, for now… a sketch of Yuna from FFX, then coloured in Photoshop CS.

I remember drawing this while staying with my mum in 2013. I had brought my Macbook laptop and lugged my massive 12"x12" Wacom Intuos 2 tablet with me, which allowed me to do the digital colouring while I was there.

I've always really loved Yuna as a character, as well as her design. Such quiet strength.

Only a couple more to go… Here's Lulu from FFX.

The original drawing is only about four or five inches tall, so it's low on detail. It was around this time I started playing around in Corel Painter and discovered their scratchboard tool as an inking brush, which blew my mind. I inked this sketch for an excuse to play around with that brush; I loved the crisp black lines it gave me in comparison to inking in Photoshop at the time!

I've also shared the original .png of the lines themselves, if anyone wants to give colouring it a go. :) I always meant to colour it myself, but never got around to it. This was drawn in 2011.

(And yes, I *did* forget to draw the moogle toy's wings… let's just ignore that. :da_sweat: )

Next up was another drawing of my girl, Rikku, three years after the first one. You can see me getting better!

I really like how she looks so much more like a real teenager in this one. I always resented artwork that made her look too adult, or too "sexy". She was only 15 in the game, after all!

I remember I left her right arm blank because I couldn't find good reference of her weapons at the time. X) Drawn in 2007.

Playing FFX Remastered on the PS Vita, it's pretty great! I love the alternative sphere grid setup; there's a real possibility of screwing up your character builds in the early game but I feel like I've done okay so far. Also, the Vita is *excellent* for short bursts of gaming. I can play for 30 minutes and then put the console into standby; in standby mode it just sips power. No need to worry about losing progress because I couldn't reach a save point in time, and no need to worry about the battery dying and losing my progress! I've also got some homebrew software installed to overclock the Vita while displaying FPS and battery percentage. The overclock seems to help with load times a bit (at least on this title).

I still suck at blitzball though.
