#HappyFriday and happy #FrogFriday -The red-legged frog (Rana aurora aurora) lives along the Pacific coast of North America from southern British Columbia to Baja California del Norte. In British Columbia, it is found throughout Vancouver Island, the Gulf Islands and the Lower Mainland, west of the Coast Mountains.

I photographed this red-legged frog in #Sayward on Vancouver Island years ago. I never overstay when I photograph them because I don't want to stress them.

A frog on a log in a forest on Vancouver Island. There is moss in the background and it is blurry due to the short depth of field. The frog looks away. This species can be brown to reddish or copper-brown with blacks spots scattered over its back. The underbelly of the species is whitish, with a reddish colouration appearing on the lower belly and undersides of the hind legs as the frog gets older. Bones on the undersides of the hind legs can be seen through the translucent skin. This species has a dark eye mask above a narrow, cream-coloured jaw stripe on each side of the face.

#goodmorning. The cats allowed us to sleep in this morning (good kitties). It felt really good to wake up naturally vs having a rough #cat tongue licking your nose. I’m channeling my inner @Uncleharvey by sitting and sipping. I’m also trying to keep up with @Rasta and his #heardle antics but I’m failing miserably. It’s sunny and the mid-60s today. Enough relaxing though. I have two #taichi classes this afternoon so I need to get motivated. #randomthoughts #happyfriday
