Dear Senator --

Senator Cory Booker stood firm in his resolve yesterday, speaking eloquently on topics all Americans care about. At the same time, Senator Adam Schiff used his power to place a hold on Ed Martin's nomination to be the U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia.

On behalf of everyone who depends on government services -- veterans, the elderly, new parents, farmers, truckers, medical workers, factory workers, teachers, children -- I am asking you to find your moment, plant your feet on the floor of Congress, and make your stand.

This Republican Administration is cutting programs every American depends on to pay for tax breaks for the wealthy. Find your Booker moment, your Schiff policy and hold the line.

Book 14 of 2015. This is an important book written by a nobel peace prize laureate. Filled with excellent advice for building effective resistance, this book nevertheless describes systemic failure driven by Facebook. Chapters 7 and 8 are particularly discouraging.

For the health and safety of all of us, I am asking you to do whatever it takes to get data on bird flu released. I noted in the news today that you announced "Dairy cows in Nevada have been infected with a new form of bird flu that is distinct from the version that has been spreading through herds over the last year. Your finding indicates that the virus, known as H5N1, has spilled from birds into cows at least twice — leading to these two sets of infections — and that it could continue to do so."

The D1.1 form of H5N1 has also shown itself to be dangerous to people. Of the 67 Americans known to have become ill with H5N1 so far, the only one who died was infected with this version.

Bird flu also has affected 126 flocks in Ohio over the past 30 days, representing a total number of 22.95 million birds on infected premises.

We all deserve to know the full truth of the spread of bird flu in the US.
