For anything that requires a certain amount of privacy/security, for anything long-term (avoiding #lockin effects), OneNote was a bad idea in the first place.

Back in the dim and distant times, when people who attached devices to the internet had some sort of a clue, if you were going to send email by #SMTP, it was vitally important for the sending network interface to have a matching reverse and forward DNS, since that was a very basic spam filter. At least you had some clue whose machines were sending the message, even if the message itself was junk.
Nowadays, it seems that even big 'cloud' systems like #microsoft365 don't have reverse DNS. #email

Was ich bereits letztes Jahr vermutet habe, ist nun eingetreten. #Hosteurope zwingt ebenfalls den Kunden #Microsoft365 auf. Wie #Domainfactory gehört Hosteurope zu #GoDaddy. Also bevor ihr wechselt, prüft ob der zukünftige Hoster nicht ebenfalls zu GoDaddy gehört.

Einige Alternativen zum E-Mail-Provider: mailbox.org, netcup (nutzt SoGo), hostsharing (nutzt Roundcube).
Mastodonsfritz (@sfritz@social.tchncs.de)Noch ein Hinweis an Wechsler: Domainfactory gehört zu #GoDaddy bzw. wurden sie damals augekauft. Bei Alternativen sollte stets überprüft werden, ob der alternative Anbieter auch zu GoDaddy gehört oder nicht. #Hosteurope zum Beispiel gehört zu GoDaddy.
Warum? Es könnte sein dass das Modell Schule macht und bei HostEurope in Zukunft sowas auch anstehen könnte.
