In 1919, #ColumbiaUniversity President #NicholasButler amended the admissions process to limit the number of #Jewish students admitted. In the 1920s, #Butler became an admirer of #Mussolini and praised #Italian #fascism. In the 1930s, he expelled a student for leading an anti-Nazi protest on campus.
