Anarchy
Featureless, blue sky,
hiding the myriad eyes
of my temple’s vault;
yet, they will sparkle, again,
in their rebellious beauty.

The day we discovered
that future and past
were the same, that
rods were cones and
versa fame.
The moment turvy
topped out, quitters
tapped in, and the
healthiest morning
drink was gin.
We knew. Turning
pages don’t make
a story. In the moment
all the glory.

Revenge of Stone
As Medusa, have
no pity, when forced to bear
a curse, unjustly.

Riddle-Poem 3/24/2025
Our little island’s previous king,
My father, said, “Stop rescuing
Each washed up sailor on your shores,
Inviting them inside your doors
And granting hospitality.”
He had a point. For now I see
Returning ships convert to stone
When helping any but our own.
Riddle-Poem 3/23/2025
I died, and all the crowd was weeping,
But he said I was only sleeping
And spoke to me in Aramaic.
The words were simple, formulaic,
Foreshadowing his own rebirth.
Now once again I walk the earth—
It looks just like it did before…
Except I’m hungrier for more.
The Long Thread
Water divides, but,
also, links us, and the stars
see us united.

Safe Place
Night has become my
temple, where unseen rites draw
down velvet darkness;
its voluptuous touch, my
hope’s only sanctuary.

I am both the stone
and sacrifice, whose heart bleeds
a dangerous fire.
