A veces me preguntan por qué me gusta Linux… Además de todo lo filosófico y tal, me encanta lo mucho que me entretiene. Esta tarde he montado mis imágenes cloud de @alpinelinux para @proxmox.
Me parece que, poco a poco, voy aprendiendo más sobre esta estupenda distribución: minimalista y segura. He decidido hacerle una pequeña aportación a través de @opencollective a ver si entre todos ayudamos a mantener los gastos. Colaborar, en lo que se pueda y como se pueda.

Pre-Weekend Server maintanance:
- Patched all Proxmox VE Servers to 8.3.5 and latest OS updates
- Patched burningboard.net Mastodon instance to latest os updates
- Patched all my RHEL systems to latest state and rebooted them
- Updated my Home-Server and Home-Assistant to version 2025.3.4
- Updated Red Hat Satellite to version 6.16.3
- Decomissioned last Fedora server and removed Fedora 41 repositories from Satellite.
- Verified status of my Backup infrastructure and that all servers are backed up properly
- Checked monitoring (check_mk and Grafana/Loki) for errors
All done, weekend can come :-)
@kuketzforum interessanter Beitrag. Ich nutze #myfritz + #Wireguard intensiv. Da ich Pi-Hole und andere Dienste wie #Jellyfin usw. als LXC über #Proxmox laufen lasse, werde ich mich mal damit beschäftigen, auch WG hierüber zu steuern und den Dienst in der #Fritzbox abzuschalten. Das ganze läuft allerdings seit sehr langer Zeit schon sehr stabil. Bin auf die Diskussion im Forum gespannt.

So, nach einigen Anläufen hab ich dann mal mein #Proxmox gemäß meinem inneren Monk eingerichtet und #dawarich auf Anhieb zum Laufen gebracht. Wenn man einmal den Dreh raushat, dann ist es easy-going.
Und natürlich alles noch mit #notizen festgehalten, damit ich auch noch in ein paar Wochen weiß, wie ich dat Docker-Dingens aufgesetzt kriege.
Hab eben noch #homeassistant mit dawarich verbunden und nen Import meines Marsches Mitte März gemacht. Bin gespannt, wie es in einer Woche aussieht.

After burning a DVD of the #proxmox iso (retro or what?!) and several trips up and down the stairs to the only screen I have with a VGA port to get the network settings right, I have a working proxmox server!
Das war heute eine Überraschung, dass in meinem Barebone Intel #NUC doch eine 256GB SDSD und 4GB RAM waren. Also heute noch #proxmox installiert, als absoluter Noob #Docker installiert bekommen und seit einer halben Stunde läuft wanderer.to.
Erste Route ist drin, sehr geiles Projekt. Morgen kommt dann das SSD- und RAM-Upgrade. Dann alles nochmals neu - aber diesmal ohne 4 Stunden trial&error 
Außerdem ist dann genug wumms da für weitere Projekte.

Les tests de ce week-end ont été couronnés de succès, j'ai enfin compris et débloqué un souci sur ma conf réseau.
Alors que je pensais que mon problème d'exposition de ports provenait de la config de #proxmox et de la VM, le souci provenait... de la freebox qui - même en mode point d'accès seul - doit être configurée pour le transfert NAT.

Up front is my NAS. It's a Synology DS216+ii. I know all the cool kids rock ZFS but I enjoy the convenience of a true storage appliance :)
Behind that from left to right is my Zimaboard (Not a fan for my purposes. It's slow and I hate the way the SSD just kinda dangles off the side), my Seeed Odyssee and the newest addition - the Beelink GTi14 i9 small footprint server.
They all run #Proxmox with an assortment of VMs and containers, with the exception of the NAS which does its storage-y things and that's it :)

What could possibly go wrong with #Windows VMs in #Proxmox when using native CPU type? Why could this have impacts to the VMs' performance? Let's do #virtualization the right way.

I am but an amateur, run proxmox in #homelab but no clusters. Two Newbie questions
1. I I want to have an edge cluster with firewalls and So on and a backend cluster, with websites and nextcloud and the like, should I then just use 2 separate clusters according to their function? (1/2)
