The Guardian · ‘Hostile environment’ drives many of SNP’s female MSPs to step down before 2026 voteBy Severin Carrell

I'm getting more disillusioned by #Labour on an almost daily basis. I've never been a member but have consistently voted for them, I was a paying supporter during Corbyn's leadership.
Realistically though with our FPTP electoral system not voting Labour in my *constituency would be a vote for the #Conservative or #UKreform parties both of which I totally abhor. On the left I like the Green Party but their local support is woefully poor. I also like a lot of what the #SNP stands for but they're not on an option South of the border.
All of which makes Labour my least worst option under FPTP.
I suppose that a transferable vote might be a solution but the different variants are a minefield.

Does anyone else have a similar quandary? Also what would your solution be?

“Dismay in Labour ranks as popularity plummets”, but why the surprise? Lies were told. People voted against Tory policies, Labour vaguely promised undefined change, and now they’re intensifying Toryism instead. Those “fiscal rules” are an invention. Try Keynesian economics once again. It’s not a “difficult decision”, really it’s not.

Oh, by the way, #SNP and #Scottishindependence for this house.

@RichardJMurphy Maybe it took that betrayal and bunch of lies told by Labour to waken people up to where there true path to independence lies - though how anyone voted Labour after Starmer’s ‘I’m a Unionist’ comment astonishes me.
Also, now voters can clearly see the arrest, and drawn out £2 million+ spent investigating the completely exonerated Nichola Sturgeon over £600K was a hatchet job.
Just in case anyone ever needs reminding England always was and always will be #PerfidiousAlbion. #SNP #ScottishIndependence

Businesses back SNP for growth

Colour me amazed. The Times reports something vaguely positive about the Scottish government. Although I suspect this was simply necessary to critique #Starmer, #Sarwar and #Labour.

Having said that, businesses that favour ‘Reform’ as a party for growth are either deluded or taking the piss. So the survey is probably useless.

Meantime this has driven the haters mad in the comments.

@MadeyeTheCarnaptious I hope she can sue them for the harassment, the damage to her career, the stress, the breakup of her marriage, etc - years of this costing the taxpayers many millions, over £600k. And they still have got charges and/or a court case. Whatever they may have is hopefully not enough so the case loses in court anyway. There’s no way it takes all that time for a forensic accountant to prove the police assertion. This is nothing more than a political charge to damage aspirations for Scottish Independence. The #SNP needs its mojo back pdq: particularly in light of how #Labour have betrayed everyone.
