AP News · Czech swimmers set new world record for largest polar dipCzech cold-water swimmers have set a new world record for the largest polar bear dip. A total of 2,461 took part in the attempt in the Most lake in northwest Czech Republic. The previous record was 1,799, set in Poland in 2015. For the record to be recognized, the participants have to wear bathing suits, be at least waist-deep in water and stay there all together for at least one minute. The temperature of the water during the record attempt was 3.5 degrees Celsius (38.2 degrees Fahrenheit), well below the required 10 degrees Celsius.

I feel like we're living through a variation on the Seinfeld episode "The Opposite" when Jerry convinces George "if every instinct you have is wrong, then the opposite would have to be right". In the USA we're seeing govt "leaders" doing the opposite of what was previously done since they seem to believe that what was previously done was wrong. Thus the opposite, as crazy as it might be, must be right.
