IMO, Star Trek 4 (Kelvinverse) shouldn't be a prequel or yet another time travel movie.

Instead they should acknowledge the time since Beyond and riff on The Motion Picture.

What would a Kelvinverse V'Ger be like? What would a Chris Pine Admiral Kirk be like? Maybe he moved on from because of the off-screen death of Chekov and failed relationship with Carol Marcus, but now regrets it.

Maybe Spock has indeed moved to new Vulcan to do the Kolinahr, but feels the pained "logic" of V'Ger and returns. Kirk recalls Bones who retired because he couldn't save Chekov's life.

I would say maybe Uhura became captain of the Enterprise, but that would mean Kirk's return would knock her out of the center seat and I don't want that. I'll say she, Sulu and Scotty stayed.

Who is the new Will Decker? I would actually like someone non-binary or possibly someone alien -- or both.
