I just watched a trailer for the movie, Jo Jo Rabbit, on Hulu and I said out loud to myself, "That looks fucking stupid."

When I read about it before it was released, it sounded ridiculous. This was after I had seen Inglorious Basterds, which I hate, despite Christoph Waltz's brilliant performance.

Trying to make a comedy about the Nazis just ain't it for me.

And Taika Waititi's comedy has proven to be mostly too broad for my taste.

That being said, I did want to make sure I boosted this, because it's so very important.

I can't tell you how very proud I am of you all. Seriously. I've been so worried about our Trans sibs since the beginning of this year, and to know that so many of you have stepped up and gone above and beyond to create beautiful queer art, or to bid on that art, or share the craft fair in support of Trans kids, it not only keeps the flame of hope alive in me, but makes it burn so much brighter. You truly are the best crew out there, and I appreciate all you do for each other. We need each other right now so much and you are stepping up like the kind and shining examples of humanity you are. I'm so fucking proud of you. $54,800+ so far.

If you haven't already, please go visit the OFMD Craft Fair that's still going on until March 1 at 11:45 PM EST.
If you have no money right now don't worry, we understand, we're all in dire straights at the moment. If nothing else, go there to marvel at what everyone has accomplished! It's incredibly uplifting!

It is a fancy-looking white ceramic teapot with the Our Flag Means Death logo printed on it. On the right is the 'Act of Grace' scroll used in alternate takes of episode 1.09. At the bottom of the scroll, there are several signatures (one of which is 'Blackbeard'), as well as doodles made by Taika Waititi during filming, the most prominent of which shows a man with a big beard and a hat (probably also Blackbeard). The photos for both items also bear the text 'Includes a personal note from David!' At the time of this screenshot, there were 17 bids on the teapot, the highest of which was $2,455. There were 57 bids on Taika's Act of Grace, the highest of which was $7,600.
